MI mBeads (Beads remix)

Available in early November 2026.

Still offering the same creative power and full firmware compatibility, PATCHPARTY's mBeads shrinks Mutable Instruments' Beads down to 12hp.

mBeads is a re-invention of granular concepts explored in Clouds, however it greatly expands on the fidelity, capabilities, and creative options. mBeads records incoming audio into a buffer, splitting it up into grains. Trigger these grains freely, clocked, or manually, while shaping their position, size, envelope, and pitch with built-in randomisation. Add feedback, reverb, and freeze, creating sounds ranging from glitchy stutters to lush ambient clouds. Plus, with no inputs patched, it turns into a wavetable oscillator.

mBeads features soft touch knobs with tactile pointers and a sturdy matte black front panel. The LEDs are diffused through the panel and translucent buttons, excellent for dark nightclub environments, and the astigmatism afflicted.
